Signing day: tracking top VA football prospects

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

The top high school football players in the country will be letting colleges know their intentions Wednesday.

Signing day has big implications for many of the athletes in Central Virginia. Here's a list of some of the major signings from our area:

Atlee's Alec Eberle commits to Florida State.

Atlee's Nick Clarke commits to Old Dominion.

Cosby's Tyler Powell commits to University of North Carolina.

Benedictine's Raymon Minor commits to Virginia Tech.

Benedictine's Cornell Uherquart commits to James Madison

Thomas Dale's CJ Reavis commits to Virginia Tech.

Thomas Dale's Christopher Dunford commits to Bloomsburg.

Thomas Dales Raun Hall commits to Nassau Community College.

Varina's Donovan Dowling commits to University of Virginia.

Varina's Leander Cutler commits to Columbia University.

Varina's Derek Boone commits to Virginia State.

Varina's Khalil Randall commits to Bluefield College.

Hermitage's Marius Young commits to Richmond.

Hermitage's Kyron Hoskey commits to Virginia Union.

LC Bird's Shawn Payne commits to Virginia Tech.

LC Bird's Terrance Ervin commits to Norfolk State.

LC Bird's Earl Hughes commits to Delaware States.

Highland Springs' DJ Johnson commits to Delaware State.

    William Huff terrorized Sierra Vista during the spring and summer of 1967. Despite a sentence of 40 years to life, the Arizona Board of Executive Clemency voted to release him from prison into home arrest. Family members of the victims are concerned for the safety of the community, as are new members of the Clemency Board. CBS 5 Investigates videotaped Huff riding a bike through his Tucson neighborhood. There are no restrictions placed on his proximity to children.
