No taxation without representation. That was the primary grievance that led to the American Revolution and the founding of this country. Our forefathers demanded, and then fought for the right to vote and to elect their own representatives in government.
We wonder what they must think if they are looking down upon us now and see that 360,000 people in Mississippi, who have the right to vote, don't even bother to register. If you want a say in taxation or anything else the government does, you don't have to fight the American Revolution. That's already been done. Just register and vote.
