Fatal shooting victim identified

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Police are investigating a homicide that occurred Friday in northwest Jackson.

Family identified the shooting victim as 18-year-old Phillip Liddell.

Liddell was shot in front of 2835 Duane Street just before 3 p.m. Friday.

Police have no motive, but have detained a 44-year-old person of interest.

    Deputies in Polk County, FL arrested an impaired driver on Thursday night for hitting five students at their bus stop. Two of the five students were critically injured. The suspect, John Camfield, is a retired police office from Water Valley, MS.
