Remington College hosting Minority Blood Drive

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Remington College is hosting a blood drive to encourage minorities to donate blood.

The event is part of a national effort called 3 Lives Blood Drive, a national effort to help recruit minority blood donors and increase the supply at local hospitals. Officials say one point of donated blood can save as many as three lives. It is part of a partnership between America's Blood Centers and the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America.

The blood drive will take place on Thursday, Feb. 13 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Remington, 10551 Coursey Boulevard, in Baton Rouge.
