JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

He will face two counts of murder in the deaths of his father, Tyrone Sr. and his grandmother, Bertha Lee Liddell.

Tyrone Liddell Jr. was denied bond Friday during his initial court appearance.

Afterwards, Jackson police held a press conference.

Chief Lindsey Horton said, "There was some disagreement between him and his father from the witness and we do have a witness an individual on scene when the shootings occurred and it escalated to the death of these two individuals."

The shooting took place at 1025 Voorhees Avenue.

Tyrone Liddell was found laying in his front yard. A short time later, Bertha Lee Liddell was found inside. Both victims were shot multiple times.

The murder weapon has not been recovered.
