LSU hosting series of Black History Month events

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

LSU will celebrate Black History Month with a number of activities starting Feb. 4 and running throughout the month.

The theme is "Civil Rights in America: Changing our Perspective." The events are hosted by the African American Cultural Center.

The activities include the following:

Mister and Miss Imani Pageant: "A Walk in Their Shoes…"

Tuesday, Feb. 4

LSU Union Theater, 7 p.m.

Blacks in Academia Lecture Series

Danielle Alsandor: "The Resiliency of Underrepresented College Students"

Wednesday, Feb. 5

LSU Honors College: French House Grand Salon, noon
