TORONTO, Jan. 30, 2014 /CNW/ - Voting to select the winner of CNW's 2013 Photo of the Year contest is now open.
Vincent Demers, Multimedia Producer at CNW, has compiled a short list of 12 photos from thousands shared by CNW on behalf of its clients last year.
"At CNW we always encourage our clients to provide photos that would appeal to newsroom photo editors," says Vincent. "A picture of a customer enjoying the product is always more usable than that same product shown against a white background, or worse, the dreaded 'grip and grin' executive handshake."
CNW invites everyone to get in on the fun:
The votes will be tallied and the winner announced at the end of February, 2014.
Multimedia assets have been shown to boost the effectiveness of news releases by giving newsrooms useful content to run with stories and by increasing views of news releases online at newswire.ca.
All original photos submitted by CNW clients for newswire distribution are eligible to win CNW's annual Photo of the Year contest. Vincent is already reviewing submissions for 2014.
