Texarkana, AR home heavily damaged in fire, dog rescued

TEXARKANA, AR (KSLA) -

A Texarkana, AR home was heavily damaged by fire Thursday morning. No one was home at the time, but firefighters did rescue the family dog.

Neighbors called 911 when they spotted smoke coming from the roof of the home in the 1900 block of E. 47th St.

When firefighters arrived and entered the home, flames erupted. There is no word yet on the cause.
