GREENE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - Target practice leads to battery charges for a Region 8 man after police say he missed and shot another man.

According to the Greene County Sheriff's Department, 26-year-old Nicolas Anderson shot the man with a .308 hunting rifle on January 25 on County Road 606.

Sheriff Dan Langston said Anderson was target shooting when two bullets hit a mobile home two blocks away, one of them hitting the victim.

The man was flown to The Med in Memphis. He was treated for gunshot wounds to both legs and has since been released.

Anderson is charged with 2nd degree battery. His bond was set at $2,500.
