H&M officially announces they're coming to Mississippi

RIDGELAND, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

It's official. Here's the press release from H&M

"H & M, Hennes & Mauritz AB, one of the world's largest fashion retailers known for offering fashion-forward apparel and quality basics at affordable prices, is excited to announce its first location in Mississippi at Northpark Mall, the premier regional shopping destination, in Ridgeland. Measuring at approximately 24,000 square feet, H&M at Northpark will open in the spring of 2014.

H&M plans to expand greatly in the U.S throughout the year. The new location at Northpark Mall will offer shoppers in Mississippi access to its quality collections for the whole family including collections for ladies, men, young ladies and young men, with separate "store within store" sections for accessories, lingerie, maternity and its plus-size line, H&M+. This location will also carry H&M's fantastic children's collection, which features quality clothing for kids of all ages, from newborn to fourteen years.

Since H&M opened its first store on New York's Fifth Avenue fourteen years ago, the U.S. has been one of the retailer's most important markets. With its emphasis on expansion, H&M continually seeks out the best properties and locations for its customers. H&M now offers U.S. consumers access to quality fashions at the best prices through 308 locations across the country."

    Flames shot out of a Coast Guard vessel docked at the Gulfport Small Craft Harbor Wednesday morning before sunrise. Gulfport fire trucks rushed to the harbor and quickly poured water on the burning boat.
