PEORIA, AZ (CBS5) -

A Peoria couple is in police custody after SWAT officers used a search warrant on their home Wednesday and found a stash of drugs.

Alethea Alcorn, 41, and Librado Rodriquez, 36, were arrested and Alcorn's 14-year-old daughter, who was in the home, was placed into Child and Protective Services custody.

Detectives from the Peoria Police Department said they discovered marijuana, crystal meth and drug paraphernalia in the dwelling.

The poor condition of the home also led to almost a dozen city code violations, police said.

Alcorn and Rodriquez were booked into jail on multiple possession charges.

Peoria police in recent months, they've been working closely with residents to help combat crimes through enforcement and neighborhood cleanups.

Officers said the outreach has led to the recent arrest of two people linked to some drug issues in the area.

So, the political stumping is not nearly as significant as it can be. Yet, this Wednesday and Thursday, people will gather under the pavilion at Founders Square and listen to a series of speeches from Mississippi’s elected leaders.
