ADOT: Closures on I-17 south of Camp Verde for project

CAMP VERDE, AZ (CBS5) -

ADOT is warning of some closures for drivers on Interstate 17 south of Camp Verde while crews work on a project.

Next week, I-17 will be closed in both directions between General Crook Trail and State Route 169 between 11:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday nights.

Drivers can also expect a single-lane restriction in both directions through the climbing lane project work zone starting Sunday, Jan. 26 through Friday, Jan. 31 between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.

The shoulder of the road is also closed during the project, prohibiting bicyclists.

ADOT crews will also be cleaning debris and building up the shoulders along a three-mile segment of southbound I-17 between the McGuireville rest area and State Route 179 next week from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 27, Tuesday, Jan. 28 and Thursday, Jan. 30.

    Police have one person in custody followed an alleged armed robbery in Ocean Springs Wednesday evening.

    Ocean Springs police say three more people reportedly linked to a Walmart armed robbery are in custody. One suspect is a 16-year-old. The others are 18-year-old Albert Morgan III and 20-year-old Gary Desean Perkins. Police charged the trio with armed robbery. Investigators say they were in the get away vehicle Wednesday when Nicholas Jvante Brothern reportedly jumped in and took off.
