RANKIN COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

New developments in a Rankin County Pit Bull Bust.  Nineteen year old Michael Devoujae Harvey was arrested. He is charged with aggravated cruelty to dogs and keeping animals deemed a menace.

A tip led deputies to a wooded area near the Central Mississippi Correctional Facility and the Law Enforcement Training Academy off Highway 468 on Kelly Circle.

Six dogs were found. They are from 6 months to 3 years old, but only one of them showed signs of fighting.

"Someone else asked me if they're connected to the other dog fight, right now there is no concrete evidence," said Sheriff Bryan Bailey. "I believe all the people know each other, are connected to each other. We're going after anybody fighting dogs in general, so all of 'em had better watch out."

There were heavy chains in the woods, indicating the dogs were being trained for fighting.
