Auburn on Forbes list of 25 best places to retire

AUBURN, AL (WSFA) -

Auburn is among the 25 cities on Forbes' list of the best places to retire in 2014. It's the only Alabama city to make this year's list.

According to Forbes, the "pros" of retiring in Auburn include that it's a college town, it has a good economy, warm weather, low crime, low cost of living and the average home price is $165,000. The one con : Auburn has few doctors per capita.

According to Forbes, data on more than 400 U.S. cities were analyzed to make the annual list. The major factors taken into account were economic, such as the cost of living, home prices and sales tax, according to Forbes.
