Robert E. Lee's birthday celebrated at First White House of the Confederacy

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

A birthday party was held Monday for Robert E. Lee at the First White House of the Confederacy.

The event features guest speaker Judge Mark Anderson, a special tour and birthday cake.

It's an annual event at the house located across the street from the Alabama Capitol.

Alabama is one of five state to recognize Robert E. Lee Day as a state holiday.
