PEARL, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A woman is out of the hospital after falling victim to the "knock out game" attack.

A viewer informed WLBT of a "knockout game" incident that occurred at the Pearl Walmart.

The knockout game is when a person comes up behind an unsuspecting person and punches them in the head or face.

The incident happened Thursday.

The female victim was shopping when a 13-year male hit her on the head with a dumbbell.

Pearl police have charged the teen with aggravated assault.

The victim was transported and released from St. Dominic's Hospital.

Authorities said the attack in consistent with other knockout game strikes seen on the Internet.

"I've got a wife and daughter so I worry about them if I'm not around and they're just out shopping. Especially a place like Wal-mart you know. We come here almost daily so it's pretty scary," said shopper Brandon Hayes.

The teenager is due in juvenile court on Tuesday.
