D'Iberville police working around the clock to find gun thief

D'IBERVILLE, MS (WLOX) - On Sunday, D'Iberville police called in extra man power to help find the person who stole weapons out of Cook's Gun Shop in D'Iberville Friday night.

D'Iberville police Captain Clay Jones says other law enforcement agencies are assisting in the search.

Jones says authorities are on the road following up on the leads they are getting from the public.

But he says the key to finding the suspect is-- the four door, blue, Nissan Titan that the person left in.

There was no tag displayed on the truck. Jones believes someone will either recognize that truck sooner or later or someone already knows who owns it.

Jones says it is identifiable by a faded roof and hood, a sliding rear window and a 4x4 sticker on the driver and passenger side rear quarters of the bed of the truck.

The ATF is offering a $5,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of the suspect responsible for this crime. If you have information regarding this crime please call Crime Stoppers at 1-877-433tips, the D'Iberville Police Department dispatch at 228-865-7060 or the Gulfport ATF field office at 228-575-6501.
