Red flag warning: Grass fires could spread quickly

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A red flag warning is in effect for Central Mississippi Saturday.

This means that conditions are favorable for brush fires.

A fire weather watch will be in effect Saturday until 6 p.m.

The National Weather Service warns that any fires that start will likely spread quickly.

Even though no burn bans are currently in effect, outdoor burning is not recommended.
