RIDGELAND, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A man arrested after an incident at the Walmart pharmacy in Ridgeland faces charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault, and unarmed carjacking.

He's accused of bizarre and violent behavior that includes stabbing a pharmacy tech with a needle and drinking Hydrogen Peroxide.

Authorities got involved around 7:30, Thursday night, when the Ridgeland Police Department responded to the report of someone trying to steal medication from the pharmacy.

With the cooperation of witnesses on the scene they were able to take 28-year-old Joshua Bobo of Brandon into custody.

Witnesses say Bobo first entered the pharmacy and bought a package of syringes. After the purchase, they say, he attempted to break into the secure area of the pharmacy and steal controlled narcotics.

The pharmacy technician who tried to stop Bobo, was stabbed in the hand by one of the just-purchased needles.

At this point, for an unknown reason, witnesses say Bobo grabbed a bottle of Hydrogen Peroxide and began to drink it.

He then walks out of Walmart and approaches a 55-year-old woman sitting in her car. He reportedly "forcibly removes her" and tries to leave the scene in her vehicle.

Just then authorities arrive, and Bobo goes back into the store. He's finally identified by witnesses and taken into custody.

Bobo was taken to a local hospital for evaluation. He's since been taken to the Madison County Detention Center.

Bobo also was the subject of a story we did last year. You can read that here.

The pharmacist was checked out at a hospital but wasn't seriously injured.

The carjacking victim was not physically harmed, but suffered emotional distress at the scene.
