RANKIN COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The Rankin County Sheriff's Department has arrested three more men connected to last Saturday night's dog fighting bust.

Domingo J. Deering was arrested for transporting a dog to a dog fight. Charlie A. Gilbert and Maurice A. Johnson were both charged with being spectators at the dog fight. All charges are felonies and all will appear before Rankin County Court Judge Kent McDaniel for an initial appearance.

The Rankin County Sheriffs Department has also recovered another pit bulldog related to the dog fight and it is currently being cared for at the Rankin County Animal Shelter.

The investigation is continuing and more arrests are expected.
