Jackson man arrested for exploitation of a vulnerable person

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A Jackson man has been arrested for felony exploitation of a vulnerable person. Fifth-three year old Gregory Wayne Colburn was arrested by the U. S. Marshal's Task Force at his Jackson home following a three-count indictment in Rankin County.

Colburn is accused of exploiting more than $150,000 from a non-family member. If found guilty, he faces up to 30 years in prison.

No court date has been set.

    A 10-year-old boy was shot in Laurel today. According to Laurel police chief Tyrone Stewart, the child is currently at the South Central Regional Medical Center.
