From the Longview Police Department:

On Monday January 13,2014 at 6:58 P.M., Longview Police responded to a bicyclist and van collision near the intersection of Buchanan Street and Mobberly Avenue.

When officers arrived, witnesses told police the rider of the bicycle had pulled out from Buchanan Street in front of the van, owned by Willand Inc. of White Oak.

The black male on the bicycle was taken to Good Shepherd Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. He was later identified as 53 year-old Ivory Van Jackson, of Longview.
