Man dies in house fire

A 32-year-old man died Friday in a fire at a house in Macon.

Noxubee County Coroner said R.L. Calhoun said the body of Montreal Chandler was found in the bedroom of the home.

Macon Fire Chief Billy Whitehead said it appeared the stove had been left on.

The fire was reported about 1:30 a.m. Friday.

An autopsy has been ordered.

Calhoun said the victim was apparently the only one in the home at the time of the blaze.
