BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

A Baton Rouge Police BRAVE Officer arrested a man Thursday who is wanted for a murder that happened in Natchez, MS.

According to the probable cause report, Natchez Police Department received a tip that murder suspect McKinley Brady was in Baton Rouge.

After a two day investigation, BRAVE officers found Brady at a home in the 3700 block of Winbourne Avenue.

During a search of the home, officers found marijuana and crack cocaine in one of the bedrooms.

Brady was found in the back of the residence. According to reports, Brady refused several verbal commands to show his hands and place them behind his back. The officer "took Brady to the floor" and handcuffed him. Brady was taken to the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison where he is awaiting extradition back to Natchez, MS.

During the investigation, officers learned the drugs belonged to Corey Daniels, 36, who also lived in the house. Daniels was arrested for possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute schedule crack cocaine and accessory after the fact for knowingly harboring a fugitive wanted for murder. He is being held at the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a $27,000 bond.

A third person, Mechael Williams, 28, was also arrested for accessory after the fact for knowingly helping a fugitive by renting a motel room for him at the Alamo Motel. She is being held at the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a $20,000 bond.

Baton Rouge spokesman Cpl. L'Jean McKneely said the BRAVE team will not tolerate anyone helping others who are wanted by authorities.

"We want to let individuals know [that] taking that type of action in assisting anybody out there [who] is committing any type of crime, you are subject to going to jail," said McKneely. "If you committed a crime and one law enforcement agency in one area know that your there it is nothing but a phone call for them to contact another police department".
