Biloxi church gets 100-year-old stained glass windows

Posted: Updated:

Beautiful stained glass windows salvaged from a Catholic church in Maine now adorn the new prayer chapel at Our Lady of Fatima church in Biloxi. The windows are at least 100 years old and were created by a renowned German artisan and chemist.

The exquisite colors and images depict the various mysteries of Jesus Christ. They came from St. Joseph's church in Lewiston, Maine. The vacant old church was purchased by a medical center and is slated to be demolished to make a parking lot.

The stained glass windows from that place of worship will be preserved and enjoyed for many years to come.
