AP photographer collapses at Chick-fil-A Bowl, dies

(RNN) - Longtime Associated Press photographer Dave Martin died after collapsing on the field Tuesday night following the end of the Chick-fil-A Bowl at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.

Martin of Montgomery, AL, collapsed while shooting post-game shots after the matchup between Duke and Texas A&M.

According to a reporter on the scene, trainers from both teams responded to the man's medical emergency, a suspected heart attack, and performed CPR.

Martin was taken to Emory Hospital Midtown, where he died, according to the Associated Press.

The photographer covered a variety of topics during his career, including hurricanes and sports events.
