COAHOMA COUNTY, MS -

(WMC-TV) - The Coahoma County coroner identified the man killed when severe weather hit in North Mississippi Saturday evening.

Coroner Scotty Meredith confirms James Sanders, 47, passed away when high winds blew over his mobile home, pinning him against a tree.

Sanders' home was located on Bobo-Rena Lara Road in rural Coahoma County, west of Clarksdale, Mississippi.

Relatives say he was asleep in a back bedroom when the storm lifted up his mobile home and flipped it over.

"It was like a train and it just, it happened so quick," said Shelley Ingram, Sanders' cousin, who was also in the mobile home with her husband and two young children.

Ingram has a big gash on her head from being tossed around in the mobile home; the others inside suffered minor cuts and bruises.

"We could have been dead, we all could have been dead, but thank the Lord we're here," she said.

Ingram described Sanders as a nice man who was hard working. He worked as a welder and was born and raised in Coahoma County. His family is devastated.

"We really going to miss him," said Michael Thomas. "He was fun, he was kind to everybody, he'll help anybody."
