BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - Christmas came early for over 300 hundred boys and girls in Biloxi today, thanks to the help of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and the Vernon Gilbert Elks lodge.
During the 4th annual event the children were able to spend the day picking out their very own toys, talking with Santa and playing with their family and friends, and of course those new toys.
"I think we had over 300 plus kids today because we had to do them in sections, we had to let the first group come in and let them go and then get the second group", said organizer Nell Davis.
Both organizations held Christmas parties for their members and asked that every attendee bring a toy for a child, in all over 500 toys topped the tables.
Families flooded the Biloxi Elks Lodge and arrived early to stand outside in line hoping to get the first pick.
The groups were also able to raffle off almost a dozen bikes for kids who held winning tickets, a bonus prize for the lucky few.
In all, every child there walked out with something special.
