Supervisors announce list of candidates for sheriff

JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

We now know who could be the next sheriff of Jackson County. The Board of Supervisors announced a list of 22 candidates who sent letters of interest in the job. The deadline for resumes was 10am Friday.

The candidates, listed alphabetically, are as follows:

Randy Bosarge

Jerry Bridges

Charles Britt

Ken Broadus

Robert Cochran

Darrell D. Crawford

Keith Davis

Mike Ezell

Daniel Guice, III

Harry "Bucky" Harris, Jr.

Fearon Jenne, III

Ricky L. Kestner

Bruce A. Lynd

Timothy Scott McIlrath

Louis Gary Miller

D. B. "Pete" Pope

Michael Robichaux

James "Mick" Sears

Jack R. Walker, Jr.

Michael Whitmore, Sr.

Supervisors expect to make an appointment at their January 6, 2014 meeting. Whoever is chosen will serve until the November 2014 special election.
