VICKSBURG, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

On Friday, Vicksburg Police responded to a school regarding a disturbance between students.

Investigators were able to determine the disturbance at the school was the result of a drive-by-shooting that occurred on Thursday, December 12.

Both 14-year-old Elijah Qualls and 15-year-old DeAundre Trisby were taken into custody, charged in the drive-by shooting, and sent to the Warren County Detention Center.

Due to the seriousness of the offense, both were charged as adults.

Investigators further determined an adult identified as 28-year-old Tiron Williams was the driver of the vehicle.

A warrant for Williams' arrest was issued on December the 16th.

On Wednesday Williams appeared at the police department for a scheduled court date.

He was taken into custody at 0830 hours and charged with Causing or Directing a Youth to Commit a Felony and Drive-by Shooting.
