$1M Mega Millions ticket sold in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, KY (FOX19) -

While no one in the Tri-State won the two jackpot tickets for the Mega Millions drawing Tuesday night, one lucky individual in Kentucky made out pretty well.

A winning ticket for $1 million was sold at a Kroger store in Louisville, according to a Kentucky Lottery spokesperson. This ticket matched the first five numbers but not the Mega Ball.

The winner has 180 days to claim their prize.

The Kroger store, located at 12501 Shelbyville Road, will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The epic Mega Million dollar jackpot was set at $648 million with a cash option amount of $347.6 million.

The California lottery confirmed at least one player matched the winning jackpot numbers from a purchase in the San Jose, CA, area. Another winning ticket was sold in Georgia, CNN reported.
