Man robbed, shot at Jackson park

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

One man is hospitalized after being shot during a robbery at a Jackson park.    

Police were called to Battlefield Park around 1:30 Tuesday afternoon for a shooting.      

Officers say a group of Hispanic males had just finished playing a game of soccer, when they were held up at gunpoint by a group of black males.      

One of the victims was shot once in each leg.      

The robbers took cash and cell phones, and ran west through the park.    

Anyone with information on this shooting is asked to call crime stoppers at 601-355-8477.
