Murder suspect's case continued until January

Posted: Updated:
JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

An accused murderer was back in court Monday. Lucious Perkins went before Judge Houston Patton, who continued his case until January 6th upon the request of Perkins' attorney. That's because the lead detective was sick today.

Perkins is charged in the murder of Tony Brown. The 51-year-old was killed in his home on Randall Street back in November.

As Perkins was lead back to jail, he cried when he saw his family and he said "I'm innocent".
