Police search for suspect after man shot 3 to 5 times

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Jackson Police are looking for a suspect in an early Saturday morning shooting that sent one man to the hospital.

A 27-year-old man is recovering after getting shot three to five times in the lower part of his body around 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

The victim told police he was standing outside of an apartment complex in the area of Rose Street, which is near Central Street.

The victim said an unknown person began firing rounds.

The victim was taken to UMMC and is considered to be in non-life threatening condition.
