Long Beach Winter Wonderland

LONG BEACH, MS (WLOX) -

A family in Long Beach will welcome thousands into their home this weekend. The Baldocks are hosting their 9th annual Winter Wonderland. Whether you're young or old, the Baldocks have something for everyone. Santa Claus, his jolly elves and a massive train set up are just a few things this Winter Wonderland has to offer.

"Every year we try to do something a little bit different," said Margie Baldock.

"We try to rearrange where things are placed in the yard. My husband will go in and he'll place them in the yard, and then I'll go out and tell him exactly where they really need to be so he gets to move them."

Margie, her husband and their children begin working on the set up in October. Her son, Chris, even does his part by entertaining guests with his piano skills. With 50,000 lights it's easy to see that this is an expensive hobby, but they say it's their gift to the community.

The Baldocks work to ensure their winter wonderland continues to be free for their guests but this year they are asking everyone for a donation.

"We're doing a canned food drive for Feed my Sheep and Long Beach Food Pantry. Our goal is to fill three tubs so between tonight and tomorrow night we can get them filled and delivered, that way the families in need will be able to have a good meal for Christmas day."

Over the next two days they hope to see more than 3,500 people.
