Decatur trio arrested after drug search

DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

Three people were arrested by Decatur Police Wednesday following a drug search.

Officers with Decatur Police Department's Special Operations Unit carried out a search warrant at an apartment on Central Parkway Southwest. During the search, investigators found a large quantity of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, cash, and prescription pills.

Brian Bell was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of the pot, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Cynthia Coleman was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance for the pills that were found. In addition, she was charged with giving a false name during the investigation.

Calvin McDaniel was arrested for loitering in a drug house.

All three were taken to Decatur City Jail. Bell and Coleman were later transferred to the Morgan County Jail.
