HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

Rows and rows of Christmas trees are set to brighten the holiday season at Holly Berry Hills Christmas Tree Farm in Harrison County.

Owner Larry Haley says it's been a banner year.

"Our business has been fantastic. I would say we're up 30 percent over last year," said Haley.

There's nothing quite like visiting a farm and picking out your own tree.

"You know you are getting a fresh tree when you buy it cut off at the stump. Can't get any fresher than that."

The debris is shaken from the tree, a hole is drilled and the Christmas centerpiece is prepared to go.

Picking out a tree is a rich family experience. At the farm they've set up things for the kids to do like a petting zoo, games and a walking trail. You can even take a train ride.

One of the great things about buying from a farm, besides supporting a local grower, is the many choices.

"We grow five varieties."

It's a great holiday tradition at Holly Berry Hills Christmas Tree Farm. The farm is located on Success road off Highway 67.
