Laquon Treadwell, a 6-foot-3, 215 pound receiver enjoyed a record-breaking freshman season. The Crete, Illinois native established Ole Miss freshman records for receptions (67), receiving yards (577) and touchdown receptions (5) in a season. He ranked third among SEC players with 5.6 receptions per game.
Nationally Treadwell ranked fourth among freshmen in receptions and led all SEC freshmen in receptions, receiving yards and touchdown catches.
He was considered the top receiving in the nation coming out of high school and he lived up to those high expectations. Treadwell hauled in 67 catches and should add to that total when the Rebels (7-5) battle Georgia Tech (7-5) in the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl in Nashville.
