Task force member hit by "friendly fire"

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

An investigation into the shooting of a U.S. Marshals Service Task Force agent has determined he was shot by another officer during the search for murder suspect Lucious Perkins. The shooting occurred December 3.

He's a member of the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics assigned to the task force. The agent was grazed on the stomach.

Arturo Fomperosa Rodriguez, who was at the house, was indicted Tuesday in U .S. District Court in Jackson with illegally possessing a gun.
