JACKSON, Miss. (AP) -

A former Jackson Police Department narcotics officer has filed a notice that he intends to plead guilty in a federal bribery case.

An attorney filed the notice in U.S. District Court in Jackson on behalf of former Officer Tony Davis.

The court filing on Thursday said Davis has reached a plea agreement with prosecutors.

Davis was indicted on October 3, and charged with trying to bribe another officer related to city transactions. He had pleaded not guilty.

Davis is free on a $10,000 unsecured bond.
