MS man charged in fatal LA collision

A Mississippi man is facing drunken driving and vehicular homicide charges after a fatal head-on collision in Louisiana's Washington Parish.

Louisiana State Police said the wreck happened Sunday about 6 a.m. when a Ford F-150 on Louisiana 25 veered into the path of a Chevrolet Silverado.

Police said in a news release that the driver of the Ford, 35-year-old Charles Toon of Foxworth, Miss., is suspected of being under the influence. Toon and a passenger were hospitalized with injuries.

Police say 32-year-old Jonathan Bickham of Franklinton, La., the driver of the Chevy, was killed in the collision.

Police say Toon will be booked into the Washington Parish Jail upon being released from the hospital.

It was not immediately clear if he had a lawyer.
