Deputies Spent "Night Out" Meeting Residents

Sheriff George Payne and his deputies are busy this week. They have five "Sheriff's Night Out Against Crime" parties planned throughout Harrison County.

Monday night's party was on River Bend Drive in Gulfport near Canal Road. There were all kinds of things going on like K-9 demonstrations, Humvee tours and a most importantly, a chance for residents to meet and greet the men and women in uniform who protect them each day.

St. Stephen's Church on St. Stephens Road in Delisle also had a Night Out Against Crime Monday night where folks got to meet Sheriff Payne and his deputies.

The subdivision, Savannah Place in Gulfport also got a visit from the Sheriff and his deputies for their own neighborhood party.

A "Sheriff's Night Out Against Crime" celebration is planned for Tuesday October 12th in D'Iberville at the Sportsplex from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

On October 16th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the party moves to Saucier's Community Center.

Everyone who lives in these areas is invited and urged to attend. Sheriff Payne says, "Please bring the kids, there's fun planned for the whole family."
