Biloxi's Christmas on the Water a weekend party

Posted: Updated:
BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

The decorated boats and their twinkling lights will light up the Biloxi Channel on Saturday night.  Before then, the city has two other events that will make everybody feel like it's Christmas.

The first of those events is Friday night.  At 6:00, the 2013 Christmas on the Water Children's Parade marches through the downtown area.  This parade starts at the Biloxi Civic Center on Howard Avenue.  It ends at the Biloxi Town Green.

As soon as the parade wraps up, the city will host its annual Christmas on the Town Green celebration.  Santa will be on hand to help light the Biloxi Christmas tree.  The Town Green party begins at 6:30.

Christmas on the Water is in its 28th year.  The boats pass by the city's small craft harbor at 6:00 Saturday night.
