MANSFIELD, CT (RNN) - No. 15 Florida kept pace with No. 12 Connecticut for the entire game but lost 65-64 after UConn scored a field goal in the final second.

The Gators (6-2) and the Huskies (8-0) went back and forth for most of the game, and the Huskies led by only one point at halftime, 30-29. Florida grabbed the lead a minute and half into the second half and held onto it for almost 10 minutes. The two teams traded the lead a few times before the Gators grabbed it back with 19 seconds left, leading 64-63 thanks to a layup by Michael Frazier II. But UConn's Shabazz Napier sunk a shot with less than a second left, scoring the go-ahead and game-winning two points.

Casey Prather led Florida with 19 points, seven rebounds and three assists.

This is the Gators' second road loss in the season and second loss to a ranked team. They get a week off to regroup before taking on No. 6 Kansas at home on Tuesday, Dec. 10, as part of the 2013 Big 12/SEC Challenge.
