TEXARKANA, AR (KSLA) -

It is officially bowl week in Texarkana as city is set to be home to just the 3rd Division II bowl in the country.  Officials were at Texarkana High's Razorback Stadium on Monday today to make some adjustments to the field before Saturday's noon kickoff between Harding and Commerce in the Live United Bowl.

The inaugural game will be played at noon on Saturday, Dec. 7 at Razorback Stadium in Texarkana, Ark. Profits made above the expenses will benefit the United Way of Texarkana.

Bowl chairman Allen Brown says the number one thing this week prior to the game is selling those tickets, "You can purchase tickets all up until Saturday, game day at any credit union practically in Texarkana, Red River, Texar, Domino. $6 for adults and $4 for students. We will be selling them at the gate on Saturday and we just want to go ahead and encourage everybody to go ahead and get a ticket. You won't have any issues getting a ticket when you get out here on Saturday but its going to be a great day. We're ready for our first game. This is detail week."

Last year, Henderson State and Harding became the first GAC schools to qualify for the Division II Playoffs while Southern Arkansas played in the C.H.A.M.P.S. Heart of Texas Bowl.
