Many 'angels' are still in need of holiday cheer

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - While you're out shopping this holiday weekend, don't forget to pick up a little angel from the Salvation Army.

According to Major Michael Hawley, the commanding officer for the Louisville Salvation Army, there were originally 11,000 children needing some holiday love and there are still 7,000 left.

The Angel Tree Program's goal is to bring a merry Christmas to underprivileged children around Kentuckiana.

Grab your angel by locating the Angel Tree table at Mall St. Matthews, Oxmoor Mall and Jefferson Mall.
