Police Chief: Moss Point shooting likely drug related

Posted: Updated:
MOSS POINT, MS (WLOX) -

Three people are recovering after being shot early Friday.

Around noon, Moss Point Police received a call about shots being fired on Hubert Street. When police arrived, there were no victims at the scene, but they did find evidence of a shooting.

Investigators learned three people were taken to local hospitals by car. One of those shooting victims has since been released, but the other two are still hospitalized with non life-threatening injuries.

Moss Point Police Chief Keith Davis believes the shooting was drug related.

"We know that there are people out there who saw something. And as we say all the time, regardless of how insignificant you think your information may be, please call us with that information," said Chief Davis.

If you have any information on this shooting, call the Moss Point Police Department at (228) -475-1711.
