Mayors bet on Iron Bowl, loser will donate to local charity

The mayors of Auburn and Tuscaloosa are betting some cold hard cash on Saturday's match up between Auburn University and the University of Alabama.

Auburn mayor Bill Ham and Tuscaloosa's Walt Maddox have placed $100 on the outcome of the Iron Bowl.

If Auburn wins, Mayor Maddox will donate the money to the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Lee County. If Alabama comes out on top, Mayor Ham will donate to the Tuscaloosa Pre-K Initiative

    Bay St. Louis police chief Gary Ponthieux says that at some point Monday, he hopes to release new information about a shooting on Sycamore Street. So far, the chief has shared preliminary information. At just before 3:00 p.m. Sunday, officers were called about a shooting in the area of Sycamore Street and St. Francis Street. When the officers arrived, Ponthieux reports they found two gunshot victims in a wrecked car. They also found a third injured person in the area.
