Holyoke PD: officer leaves gun in mall bathroom

HOLYOKE, MA (WSHM) -

Holyoke police are investigating an incident in which one of their officers left their service weapon at the Holyoke Mall.

Police Chief James Neiswanger says the gun was left in a restroom at the mall last weekend.

It was recovered.

Neiswanger says since the investigation is ongoing he can not comment any further.

    A 11-year old missing Springfield boy has been found safe and sound after spending a long, cold night in Forest Park. Cameron Boulay never returned home from school yesterday and a frantic all-night search failed to find any trace of the boy. However, this morning, the story had a happy ending when Cameron was found unharmed.
