Capital murder suspect turns himself in

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Donte Sheppard, 19, one of three suspects in the November 17 murder of Tony Brown, turned himself in to Jackson Police Friday. Sheppard is charged with capital murder and has been denied bond.

The other two suspects, 20-year-old Jordan Johnson and 33-year-old Lucious Perkins, are still at large.

Fifty-one year old Tony Brown was found shot to deal November 17 at 824 Randall Street. Before he died, Brown told neighbors three men were waiting for him in his house when he got home.

    The Mississippi Highway Patrol is looking for a driver who ran away from the scene of a deadly crash in George County. Three children were killed in the crash. Troopers said a green 2003 Kia Optima was heading east on Highway 198, east of Depot Road, shortly before 4 p.m. on Saturday.
